Leelasiri Samarasekera

LEELASIRI SAMARASEKERA (nee Perera), age 98, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Nanayakkara D., loving mother of Jayantha (wife Samanmali), Prasad (wife Sandya), Nilantha (wife Sardha) and Dilip (wife Sagarika), dearest grandmother of Malisha (husband Michael), Shahani, Asiri, Dillon, Naomi and Nishan, cherished great-grandmother of Henry and Zoe.

Leelasiri was a special education teacher and directress for over 35 years with the Montessori Schools in Cleveland Heights.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Cleveland Buddhist Vihara and Meditation Center, 1695 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron, OH  44320.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Leelasiri on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, from 6 – 7:30 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME, 28890 CHARDON RD., WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH (44092) (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Buddhist services following at 7:30 PM with a reception to follow in the Community Room of the funeral home.
