Linda M. Brately

LINDA M. BRATELY age 76, cherished daughter of the late John and Maysell (nee Huffman) Brately; dearest sister of Marcella Dove (husband Neal deceased), John (wife Betsy), Thomas (wife Monica) and Michael (wife Teresa); loving aunt of Melissa, Rebecca, Stephanie, Joseph, Adam, Brian, Bridget and the late John: treasured great aunt of 12, plus one more expected in August.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 13, 1949, Linda resided in Mentor for 73 years, moving to Willoughby Hills three years ago. She graduated from Villa Angela High School in 1967 and earned her bachelor's degree in 1971 from Ursuline College. Utilizing her education and polished people skills, she was employed for many years as a manager in the banking industry. Leisure time activities included being an avid reader and preparing for her book club, meeting new friends through water exercise, and socializing with her card club. All family members and friends knew better than to call Linda if Jeopardy was on television because, if at all possible, she never missed an episode.

Linda was proud of both her Croatian heritage and her family. She was a caring and loving sister, who adored her nieces and nephews. Attending family weddings, holiday gatherings, summer picnics or just reminiscing about family memories brought her the utmost joy.

Linda passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Special thanks are extended to her nieces Melissa and Becky, who were her caring angels in her last months of illness.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, OH at 11AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Linda at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-7PM.
