Linda S. Hodgson

LINDA S. HODGSON (nee Beachler) age 78, beloved wife for 54 years of the late Roy Sr.; loving mother of Roy Jr. (Christine) and Michelle (Ali Abdullah) Hodgson; devoted grandmother of Amanda (Jarrett Catcott), Abdur-Rahman, and Yusuf; cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Verda (nee Burkhammer) Beachler; dearest sister of Larry Sr. (Lilly), Jerry, James (Miki), Lisa (Becky Roessler), and the late Marvin (Helene); dear sister in law, aunt, and great-aunt of many. Linda was born on October 13, 1947, to Raymond and Verda in Weston, West Virginia. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1965 before going on to receive her associates degree. Linda worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School Board before earning her retirement in 2013. She met the love of her life, Roy Sr., and the two were happily married and became a family of four. When she wasn't at work or spending time with her family, Linda enjoyed gardening, crocheting, putting together puzzles, and completing crosswords. She liked listening to various genres of music. Linda was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers, with Omar Vizquel being her favorite baseball player. Above all things, she was deeply devoted to her family. Linda passed away on March 14, 2026, and will be dearly missed by all those who had the chance to know her.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Linda at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 12-3 PM.

 A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 3 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME.
