LISA R. KRAEMER (LANG), Esq. age 67, beloved wife for 45 years of Richard S. Lang MD; loving mother of Jonathan Kraemer Lang, Esq. (wife Judge Deborah), Katherine Lang Smolko (husband Matthew), William Kraemer Lang, D.O. (wife Lauren) and Daniel Kraemer Lang (wife Megan); devoted grandmother of Cora, Jacob, Vivienne, Collins, Wren, Dawson, Barrett and Etta; cherished daughter of the late  William PhD and Louise PhD (nee Russert) Kraemer; dearest sister of  Eric Russert Kraemer PhD (wife Francine MV Klein PhD), Robert Russert Kraemer PhD (wife Ginger) and Soren Russert Kraemer MD (wife Karen); treasured sister-in-law of the late Margaret Ann Kish (husband Scott), dear aunt and great aunt of many. Survived by her canine companion Walter.

Lisa was born December 6, 1954 and died suddenly on March 25, 2022.

Lisa grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1972. She attended Harvard University and graduated Cum Laude in 1976. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1979. In addition, she earned a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from Antioch College. She lived in Chagrin falls since 1986.

Lisa worked as an attorney specializing in Family Law. She was a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Chagrin Valley Democratic Club, the Village of Chagrin Falls Board of Zoning Appeals, and a former member of the Village of Chagrin Falls Council.  Lisa also served as the Mediator for the Ohio State Board of Education through the Office for Exceptional Children Mediation/ Facilitation program. She had just certified to be a volunteer docent for the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.  Lisa also served as a delegate at two Democratic National Conventions.

Lisa was a dedicated runner and enjoyed biking and hiking. She was an avid reader, played the piano and wrote poetry. Lisa loved the arts and was also a performer at the Chagrin Valley Little Theater. She appreciated nature and listening to classical music and the Beatles.

Lisa was a tenacious intellectual. She was inquisitive and an eternal learner. She was friendly and social and never met a stranger. Caring and selfless, Lisa was deeply invested in the joy of others.

More than anything else she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lisa to the Hilton Head Sea Pines Forest Preserve, The American Heart Association, and The Ohio CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children). Celebration of Life Service Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 12 NOON at the Funeral Home. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private Burial at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lisa at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND, 12811 CHILLICOTHE RD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 3-8 PM and SATURDAY 10 AM-12 NOON.
