Lois A. Betley

May 18, 1956 — January 13, 2024

LOIS A. BETLEY, age 67; beloved daughter of the late JoAnne M. (nee Edelman) and Theodore “Ted” Betley; cherished sister of Richard (deceased) (Barbara), Patricia, Lynne Mominey (Roger), David (deceased), Joan Weinbrandt, James (deceased) (Kristine), Donald (deceased) (Lisa), Jeanne, and Robert (deceased) (Kathleen); devoted aunt of Jamie (Terrah), Joseph (Randi), Jeffrey (Wakako), and Jonathan (Kelly) Lamperth, Lindsay (Bob) Bierman, Adam (Lila) Weinbrandt, and Richard Jr., Lisa (Harrison), Clay, Jay, Jenna, AnnaMarie, and JoAnne Betley, and great-aunt of Nova, Skylar, Alexis, Alexa, Sequoia, Hayley, Betley, Mila, Jorge, Jillian, Kate, Keaton, Greyson, and Isla and great great-aunt to Luna dearest niece and cousin of many.

Lois was born on May 18, 1956 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and died peacefully with her family by her side on January 13, 2024.  She was the sixth child of the original ten Betley clan!  Lois was born with a hole in her heart and at the age of three Lois suffered side affects from open heart surgery that left her disabled for her entire life.  She was a true miracle as her parents were told she wouldn’t survive.  Lois became the ‘special one’ in the family.  As much as her siblings would tease her they cared for and protected her too.  Lois was a huge Donny Osmond fan and said he was the love of her life.  Every now and then, she would enjoy a bowling outing, watching a Browns game, or crafting hook-rugs even though her Mom did the work.  Family was always most important to Lois.  And celebrating her birthday was a minimum week event which she started planning 4 months in advance. She will be dearly missed by those that loved and cared for her.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lois at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY Jan. 20, 2024 1-4 PM followed by a Prayer and Tribute Service at 4 PM
