Margaret Jane Albert

MARGARET JANE ALBERT passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31st, 2026, her hand in the loving grasp of her husband, A. Edward Albert, of 74 years. She is survived by those she loved so dearly-her husband Edward Albert, her daughter Alison Albert Rankin, and her grandchildren Anne Farnham Rankin and Elisabeth Marshall Rankin. Also paramount in her life was her beloved son-in-law, Roger F. Rankin, who preceded her in death in August 2025.  

She grew up in Frontenac, Kansas, a place she treasured long after she left, but her life was in Cleveland. She spent decades alongside her late twin sister, Mary Ann Farrell, her parents, August and Ann LePeglow, and the beloved family she built with her husband.  

Margaret's family and her faith were the two most important things in her life. She was a devoted wife and mother. She thought of her grandchildren as her own second and third daughters, and along with her husband, created an extraordinary dynamic with them, above and beyond the norm of most grandparents. She was beautiful, stylish, nostalgic and had an excellent sense of humor that left friends and strangers alike with a smile on their face. She could often be found tending to her garden, traveling, reading, collecting beautiful things and spending time in her second home in Naples, Florida.  

Above all, Margaret was good, loving, kind, devoted to all who were close to her, and a devout Christian. She enriched the lives of those around her and she will be dearly missed.
