Margaret “Marge” Fultz

Margaret (Marge) Ella (Zeph) Fultz December 19, 1931 – August 13, 2022

Margaret Ella Fultz, age 90, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2022. Margaret was preceded in death 16 months earlier by her loving husband, George. She was also preceded by her dear son, Bob, and beloved sister, Mary Zeph. She is survived by brother, David Zeph; daughter, Linda Rouisse (John); son, Steve (Grace); daughter, Becky Fultz-Roth (Stephen); and son, Vince (Laurie).  She was loved as both Grandma and Nana to grandchildren, Victoria Burg (Jason), Kati Fischetti (Robbie), Jeanette Anderson (Dylan), Chelsea Roth, Carter Roth (Annie), and Morgan Roth. She was also the proud great-grandmother to Andrew and William Burg and Penny Fischetti.

Born in Indianapolis, Marge moved to Pittsburgh during her high school years. She graduated from Kent State University in 1954 where she met the love of her life, George, and they married right out of college. She and George started their family in Akron; then in 1960 they moved to the Mayfield area of Cleveland where they lived for almost 40 years and raised their five children. Marge was a dedicated schoolteacher within the Mayfield School System for 32 years. Many students came back to thank her for what she instilled in them. Marge always said the biggest gift to her was her family and good friends. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about all their activities, as demonstrated from the early years as a Cub Scout den mother, Camp Fire Girls leader, and Band Booster officer. Along with George at her side, they were the biggest (and sometimes loudest) fans in the stands for all their sporting events throughout the years. They thoroughly enjoyed attending all the plays/musicals, band concerts, and many sporting events throughout their lives.

Her fondness for the outdoors led to many years camping with the family. After retirement, Marge and George traveled extensively throughout the world including Italy, Spain, Ireland, Germany, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Their love of the arts was apparent by all the Broadway shows they attended in Cleveland and Florida and their front row seats they enjoyed at the Cleveland Ballet where they would always share two of their seats with friends or family. These past six years found them enjoying the “Breakfast Club” concerts with the Florida Orchestra.

Marge was a devout Catholic and said the rosary daily. Always active in the church, both George and Marge spent the last 15 years at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin, FL. There they helped run the food pantry, and for years organized the Christmas Giving Tree program which touched hundreds of families each year. They ran the funeral bereavement luncheons for many years as well. Their service to God and the Catholic Church was recognized in June of 2019 when they received the Saint Jude the Apostle Award from the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Marge was a friend to so many. She stayed in touch with dear friends from Kent State University, Mayfield, Saint Clare, Saint Noel, Saint Anne (FL), her ladies pinochle club in Mayfield (for 62 years), and many friends from Kings Point and Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center, FL. After 68 years of marriage, Marge and George’s love for each other never diminished. Their family and friends meant the world to them, and they will be remembered as an active and vital couple of great faith.

Marge and George will join their son, Bob, in eternal rest exactly 36 years to the day of Bob’s interment.

Family and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial for Marge and George on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10 AM at St Noel Catholic Church 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills, Ohio 44094. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marge and George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON RD. THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 29 from 5-7 PM.
