MARIA GORDON (nee DiFranco) age 88, beloved wife of the late Nicholas; loving mother of Daniel Gordon (Kate Wright), Diana Gordon and Monica Severino (husband David); devoted grandmother of Rachael Glick (husband Jay II), Desiree Sgro (husband Rosario), Daniel Gordon (Rachael Kuralak), Isabella Gordon (fiancé Kyle Polk), Olivia Adamovich (Justin Toth), Joi Schultz (husband David), Gino Severino (wife Sarah), Salvatore Severino (fiancé Allie Vanek), Nicolette Kleinhampl (husband James) and Maria Severino (Michael Clark) and great-grandmother of Jay III, Rosie, Justin, Rilyn, Zachary, Gianna and Catalina; cherished daughter of the late Assunta (nee DiVincenzo) and Gelsomino DiFranco; dear aunt, great-aunt and cousin of many.

Maria was born in Rionero, Italy on March 8, 1935 and passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 9, 2023. Maria came to the US at the age of 19 and resided in Cleveland Heights before moving to Wickliffe in 1963. Maria was a homemaker who loved to bake, cook, garden and to spend time with her family. She also loved to listen to Andre Bucelli. Her family will always remember her for being the loving and caring person she was. She was social, friendly and had a good sense of humor. She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Wacker Dr. Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 12021 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Maria at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY from 3-8 PM.
