Marijana Simicevic-Sonnie

Marijana Simicevic-Sonnie, age 54, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2025. A radiant soul with a boundless spirit, Mary was the life of every room she entered-funny, beautiful, and always smiling. Her presence was a ray of light, illuminating the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born into a proud Croatian heritage, Mary carried her roots with grace and strength. She was known for her high-spirited nature, her unwavering determination, and a stubborn streak that only made her more endearing. To know her was to love her-she was sociable, compassionate, and endlessly thoughtful, always putting others before herself.

Mary was a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Colin and Roman Sonnie, who were the center of her universe. A loving daughter to Stefica Simicevic and the late Bude Simicevic. She was a cherished sister to Ivana Krapic (Marin), and Marin Simicevic (Michelle), proud aunt to Samantha and Evan Simicevic, and a godmother to many. She was also a beloved niece to her aunts and uncles and a cousin to many-each relationship held close to her heart.

Her nurturing heart extended far beyond her immediate family-she was a treasured friend to countless others.

Her laughter echoes in our hearts, a melody that will never fade.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Marijana at the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Rd & Rt. 91) on Monday, July 21, from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, 10am at St. Paul's Croatian Church, 1369 E. 40 Street, Cleveland (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Entombment All Souls Cemetery.
