Mario Fazio

MARIO J. FAZIO age 82, died peacefully Aug. 12, 2008 of natural causes; devoted husband of Nancy (Negrelli) (nee Olivio); loving father of Bill (of Naples, FL), Lisa Fazio (husband Frank Grk), Mario (wife Susan) (nee Cappadora) and Anthony (of Naples, FL); beloved step-father of Jean Negrelli; cherished grandfather of Franky, Mario, Matthew, Benjamin, Monique, Tina, Analee, Carmen and Joel, great-grandfather of Natalia and Justine; loving son of the late Jenny (nee Palazolo) and William Fazio; dearest brother of the late Victor, Tony, Jennie Palecek and Christine Laurie; dear uncle, great-uncle & friend to many. World War II Navy Veteran. Mario belonged to Pine Ridge and Quail Hollow country clubs. He loved clothes and was an impeccable dresser; he loved gardening, golf, playing cards, arts and fashion design, travelling to Italy; baseball, Little League and coaching. He especially loved his family and dancing with his wife Nancy to Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin. Mario was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a founding member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Noel Church. He founded Mario Fazio s Restaurant 36 years ago. Mario was beloved by the community and was a mentor to many that worked for him over the years.
