MARK D. CHAPIC age 57, loving father of Mitchell, Marnie and Sophia; cherished son of Mark C. and Marlene (nee Pardi); dearest brother of Annie Good (husband Tyler) and Sarah Bryan (husband Bill); dear uncle of Kyle, Jacob (wife Sara), Evan, Drake and Kole; former husband of Danica Chapic (nee Winovich) and former companion of Tanya Maciech; treasured nephew of Frank (deceased) and Pamela Chapic, Jack and Susan Chapic, Darlene Menth, Dean Chapic, Joseph and Nancy Chapic, Joann and Gary Mynchenberg, Susan and Jack Lyttle and Louise and Edward Sheridan; dear brother in law, cousin and friend of many.

Mark Chapic was born on June 21, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Gilmour Academy in 1986 and went on to earn a degree in finance from the University of Dayton in 1991. Mark's sharp mind, entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic led him to create Chapic Homes, where he earned a stellar reputation as a premier custom home builder. Known for his impeccable craftsmanship, he took great pride in creating beautiful homes that stood the test of time. Later, he pursued another venture by becoming the proud owner and operator of a lightning rod installation business.

Mark had three children-one son and two daughters-whom he cherished. He cared for them deeply and was proud of the people they were becoming and took pride in their accomplishments. Each of his children held a special place in his heart, and his love for them was constant throughout his life.

Mark had a sharp wit, a quick smile, and a magnetic personality that drew people in wherever he went. He was known for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh. Whether telling stories, cracking jokes, or simply lighting up a room with his presence, Mark had a unique gift for making others feel welcome and entertained. He truly was the life of the party.

A man of many talents and interests, Mark was an accomplished poker player who relished the challenge and thrill of the game. He enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns games and immersing himself in all kinds of movies and music. His adventurous spirit took him across Europe, through the Caribbean, and into the depths of the sea while scuba diving and fishing. He had a passion for downhill skiing, traveling with family to resorts across both the East and West coasts. He also shared many meaningful years canoeing competitively and recreationally with his father, building treasured memories along the way.

Mark had a deep appreciation for animals and cared for many pets throughout his life-from dogs to reptiles to ferrets and everything in-between. His compassion for animals reflected his big heart and gentle soul.

Mark passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. His absence leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his generosity, his passion, and the unmistakable spark he brought to every room. Mark lived boldly, gave freely, and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and the countless memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
