Mary C. Bartlett

MARY C. BARTLETT (nee Titus) age 70, beloved wife for 29 years of John; loving mother of Jesse (Jessica) Yates, Jayme (Michelle) Yates, Christina (Matthew) Prosser, Joseph (Nicki) Yates, Justin (Kelly) Yates, Molly (Michael) Wilber, and the late Rachel Ezechukwu; devoted grandmother of Abigail, Bella, Corbin, Jacob, Zac, Daisy, Levi, Mallory, Hunter, Evelyn, Caleb, Mackenna, Anthony, Aaron, and Stanley; great-grandmother of Ever Mae, Aria, and Willow; cherished daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy “Bonny” (nee Vencharetti) Titus; dearest sister of Donna (Frank) Alexander, Mark (Barbara) Titus, Matthew (Durbin) Titus, Michael Ann (Larry) Grano, and John (Shirley) Titus; sister-in-law of Susan (Randy) Brown; dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many.

Mary was born on April 6, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent most of her life in Geauga County. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1970 and continued her education in healthcare at Mercyhurst College, Lakeland Community College, and Cuyahoga Community College before receiving her License of Practical Nursing in 1974. A natural caregiver, Mary dedicated many years to helping others. She proudly worked at the County Home for 7 years, conducted preventive health screenings for 10 years, provided home health care for more than 5 years, and helped give care to young individuals with special needs. In all the years she dedicated to work, her delight was being a wife and mother. Time at home meant more baking and cooking, gardening, making crafts, exercising through walks, and of course traveling. As a child she relished her family’s travels out west and was happy to incorporate travel into her children’s lives. Strong in her faith, Mary was a member of the Tikvat Yisrael Messianic Synagogue for 22 years. She was a prayer Intercessor, taught Sunday School for 2 years at Burton Assembly of God and had a strong interest in foreign missions. Mary was a dedicated member of a 12-Step Group for 16 years and met many wonderful people along the way. She appreciated a good laugh and loved clean standup comedy, the series “Monk”, as well as Seinfeld, The Office, King of Queens, and Everybody Loves Raymond. On July 9, 2022, this faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, caregiver, and friend was called to rest.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mary to any of the following: Cleveland City Mission, Cleveland Food Bank, Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, American Bible Society, Hospice of the Western Reserve, The Special Olympics, or Ukraine Relief.
