Mary Jane Patrick

Mary Jane Patrick passed away on January 27, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Steven Patrick and Helen Yurasko Patrick, both of whom predeceased her.

Mary Jane is survived by her brother, Ronald Patrick of Incline Village, Nevada, as well as many cousins and friends who will remember her with affection and respect.

At the age of 11, Mary Jane was stricken with polio, an illness that left her physically impaired but strengthened her resolve to live a full and independent life. Her courage and determination in the face of challenges earned the admiration of all who knew her.

A proud college graduate, Mary Jane attended Whittier College in California and took lasting pride in her academic accomplishment.

Mary Jane cherished a long and meaningful career serving three generations of the Bolton family. She worked for Congresswoman Frances P. Bolton until her passing, then for retired diplomat Kenyon C. Bolton until his death, continuing thereafter to assist his widow, Mary P. Bolton. She later worked with Charles P. Bolton in his role as trustee and chair of several nonprofit organizations. Mary Jane often remarked that she hoped to work long enough to serve Charles's daughter, Frances, so she could proudly say she had worked for four generations-and two Franceses.

She is fondly remembered for her meticulous nature, remarkable recall of names, and careful attention to detail, particularly in correspondence sent on behalf of the Bolton family. Her professionalism, loyalty, and precision left a lasting impression on all.

Outside of her professional life, Mary Jane had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs, and was rarely without a canine companion. She also found great joy in the hours she spent tending her garden.

Mary Jane was a longtime resident of Euclid, Ohio, before spending the final decade of her life at Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held in Mary Jane's memory Wednesday, February 6, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Highland Park Cemetery, 21400 Chagrin Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44122. Please meet at the cemetery gate. Arrangements by the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME of WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
