Mary Katherine "Kay" Bukovec

Mary Katherine “Kay” Bukovec (nee Scoville), age 91, beloved wife for 65 years to the late Rudolph Bukovec; loving mother of Richard (deceased), Susan Grubach, Thomas (Colleen) and Mark (Janet); devoted grandmother of nine and great grandmother of 14; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Millie Scoville; dearest sister of Geri Beemiller (Jim deceased) and the late Neal Scoville (Cappie); dear aunt and cousin of many.

Kay passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 8, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio and a 1952 graduate of Collinwood High School. Kay worked in various grocery stores and, after her children left home, she was a bookkeeper for a local business. In between, Kay was a devoted homemaker and mother to her four children. She also spent several years volunteering as a Red Coat at Playhouse Square. Kay enjoyed playing tennis and golf and spending winters in Destin, Florida with her late husband Rudy. Kay lived in Euclid for many years before moving to the Willoughby Hills Senior Apartments, where she made many new friends.

Kay will be greatly missed by all, but we are comforted knowing she is home with God and her deceased family and friends.

Funeral mass will be Friday, June 13th at 11:00am at St. Noel’s Church.
