Mary was born on May 9th, 1930, to Ludwig and Mary in Pennsylvania. She moved to Ohio around the age of 10 and went on to attend and graduate from Euclid Central High School as part of the class of 1948. Mary was also a part of Euclid's Ice-Skating Club, where she became a mentor for new members. She was a woman deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, and her dedication to her Lord and Savior led her to become one of the founding members of St. Noel Catholic Church, where she sang and played guitar in St. Noel's choir. She had a truly angelic voice that uplifted the spirits of her fellow parishioners, and she used her voice to proudly read the sacred scriptures as a Lecturer. Mary's commitment to St. Noel extended beyond Mass, and she could often be found helping with their annual fish fry. She was also a member of the SNPJ club for 60 years. Mary was equally as devoted to God as she was to her family. She met the love of her life, Earl, and the two were happily married in 1953. Mary brought 4 wonderful children into the world and was a loving mother to all of them. She owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years before choosing to become a librarian at St. Felicitas Parish, which housed the school her children attended. When she wasn't giving her time to God or to her family, Mary could be found dancing, playing guitar, baking, taking walks, listening to Polkas and Johnny Cash, or enjoying a good meal. She was both energetic and optimistic, always smiling no matter what. Mary had a great sense of humor as well, and once you got her laughing, she couldn't stop. She got the opportunity to travel to both Rome and Slovenia, and her sociable and friendly personality made her a cornerstone of many friend groups. What brought Mary the most enjoyment in life though, was spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Mary returned home to heaven on October 12, 2025, and will be remembered as a woman who was devoted to her family and faith above all else.
