Mary Zeleznik

MARY ZELEZNIK, 83 years old, passed away on July 6, 2022 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Daughter of the late Andrew and Alojzia Zeleznik (nee Penca). Also preceded in death by her siblings Lillian Zeleznik, and Jean (Elmer, deceased) Turk. She is survived by her sister, Josepha (Richard, deceased) Strauss, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was a life-long member of St. Vitus Parish and worked at Steel Improvement and Forge Co. (SIFCO) after high school until her retirement. She was a member of St. Anne’s Lodge #4 (AMLA), and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mary loved reading, gardening and listening to polka music on the radio with Tony Petkovsek and Joey Tomsick. Although she often kept to herself, Mary was generous of spirit and heart. Attending Mass regularly was important to her, especially during Easter and blessing of the food. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Vitus Endowment Trust 6019 Lausche Ave., Cleveland, 44103. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Vitus Catholic Church. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mary at THE ZEVNIK – COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-5 PM.
