Miha was born on December 31st, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Pauline and Frank. He graduated from St. Joseph High School as a member of the class of 1978, before choosing to pursue higher education at Cleveland State University, where he received his Bachelors and MBA. Ever since his musical debut in grade school, it was clear to anyone that Miha was a talented musician. He was in many bands for the most of his life, performing as a guitarist and vocalist. Most people would remember him as the front man in the Alpine Sextet and the Veseli Godci. He was also a member of the Slovenian men's acapella group Fantje Na Vasi and volunteered with St. Mary's Slovenian School as the music instructor for the kindergarten class. In 1988 Miha married Chris, the love of his life, and shortly thereafter started a family together. They welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world. Many years later, he became a grandfather, and soon his grandkids became his greatest pride and joy. Miha was proud of his Slovenian heritage. He worked as an IT Analyst for Progressive Insurance. Miha returned home to heaven on January 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy in the hearts and ears of all those he met. He was a treasured relative and friend of many in the US, Canada, Croatia and Slovenia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Miha to St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Slovenian School.
