Mladen L. Selar

MLADEN L. SELAR age 49, beloved husband of Angela (nee Hornyak); loving father of Nicholas and Luka; cherished son of Milan and Dora (nee Jelenkovic); devoted brother of Janet, Anthony “Tony” (wife Laurie), and Michael; dearest uncle of Alyssa; dear nephew, cousin, godfather, and friend of many.

Mladen Selar was born on February 27, 1973, to Milan and Dora. He grew up in Willoughby Hills and has resided in Chardon for the past 10 years. He graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1991 and graduated from Cleveland State University. Mladen was a talented mechanical engineer who could fix just about everything. He had a love for dirt bike riding, his classic cars, hunting, fishing, and archery. He had a passion for the great outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Mladen was described as a friendly, generous, and all-around good man who was loved by everyone. He will be remembered most as a devoted family man.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mladen to his Treasured Memories Fund via the funeral home website, which will be used to help with his children’s education expenses.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mladen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91), MONDAY 4-7 PM.
