NEIL THOMAS RUDDOCK, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, aged 97 years surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for 59 years to the late Elizabeth A. (nee Kidder), loving father of Mary R. Sine, N. Thomas Jr. (wife Chris), Kathleen Oldenburg (husband W. Andrew, M.D.) of Jacksonville, FL., S. James II (wife Maria) and Kevin K. (wife Marian), devoted grandfather of Lindsey M. Boot, Topper, Ann, Neil, Caroline Scheel (husband Kaysey) and Brian Ruddock, Christian (wife Sarah), Courtney Grover (husband Jeff), Jeffrey (wife Bella), Tyler (wife Katelyn) and Whitney Oldenburg, Lauren, Elizabeth, Sam, Michael, Hannah Repko (husband Neal), Leisy Stevenson (husband Dan), Kyle (wife Hannah) and Kelsey Ruddock, cherished great-grandfather of 15.
Neil Thomas Ruddock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born on June 3, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, Neil was the only child of Agnes and Sam Ruddock. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1946 and went on to earn his degree from Georgetown University in 1950. In December 1950, Neil married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Kidder. Together they shared 60 devoted years of marriage and raised five children. Neil was a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him great joy and pride. Neil began his career with a brief stint at Alloy Metal Abrasives before founding the NT Ruddock Company.
Through his leadership and guidance, he helped his three sons grow the company into a successful metals and abrasives distribution business. Neil will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast faith, and deep devotion to the people and principles he held dear. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched-through his family, his business, and his example. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
