NORMAN R. MIOZZI age 88, beloved husband for 64 years of Constance “Connie” (nee Flowers); loving father of Christine Ianni (Mark), Norman (Karen), Frank (Katy), Ken (Tami), Jean Misch (Gary), Paul (Jana), Laura Pugel (Rich), Shari Harper (Doug), Bob, Catherine Lynch (Jamie), Joe (Erica), and Tim (Lauren); devoted grandfather of 34 and great-grandfather of 11; cherished son of the late James and Jenny (nee Santone); dearest brother of Rita Spagnolia (Jim, deceased), Henry (Mary Lou), and the late Carmen, Robert, Carmen (Sally) and Hilda “Bunny” Schaeffer; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran.

Norman was born in Cleveland on December 23, 1932, and passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021.  He was a resident of Mentor for the past 16 years, and Highland Heights prior to that.  He was a 1950 graduate of Brush High School, and went on to become a Supervisor in the grocery, manufacturing, and home building industries.  Norm was a sports fan who enjoyed bowling and baseball.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and he pitched a no hitter when he was playing ball for Brush High School.  His musical tastes included the vocals of Nat King Cole.  His favorite song during Christmastime was the 12 Days of Christmas. The most enjoyment in life for Norm came from going camping and visiting Cedar Point and Geauga Lake.  He was a fan of the wooden roller coaster.  Norm belonged to St. Gabriel Church, and was affiliated with St. Margaret Mary.  He was a lecturer and Eucharistic Minister and a Sacristan.  His family describes Norm as hard working, a great provider, a rock who is devoted to his faith and family.  He was kind, compassionate, strong, and had a wonderful sense of humor with his grandchildren.  Norm will be dearly missed by many.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor. Burial following with Military Honors at Mentor Municipal Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Norm at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
