Odaline Daher

September 15, 1946 — January 22, 2026

ODALINE THERESE DAHER (nee Saluan), age 79, beloved wife for 50 years of Wajih; loving mother of Joseph (wife Tania), Pamela Danial (husband Shereif) and Patrick; devoted grandmother “Teta” of Alyssa and Alexander Danial, Mila, Nora and Matthew Daher; cherished daughter of the late Jorge “Elias” and Azizeh (nee Aina) Saluan; dearest sister of Gabriel Saluan (wife Diane), Mary Ann Karam (husband George) and the late Abdo “Al,” Mary Theresa and Charles “Chuck” Saluan; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Odaline was born on September 15, 1946 in Aitaneet, Lebanon and immigrated to the United States in 1955. At just 9 years old, Odaline learned responsibility and perseverance at a young age. She helped support her family while balancing school and work. A graduate of Hoban Dominican High School, she attended John Carroll University before dedicating herself to the service industry. This work ethic and selflessness defined her life.

Known as Odie to her loving friends and family, Odaline shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Wajih, celebrating 50 years together as of August 9, 2025. Side by side, they worked in the restaurant business, owning and operating PJ’s Luncheonette in downtown Cleveland for more than 35 years. Together, they built not only a successful business, but a welcoming place where customers were treated like family.

The caring and loving matriarch of the family, Odie expressed love in many ways, most notably through her cooking. Her home was a place of warmth, abundance, and care. After retiring, she cherished time gardening, listening to Arabic music, visiting with family and friends, and being with her beloved grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy.

Odie was mighty in spirit – a hardworking, social woman remembered for her strength, compassion, positive attitude, great sense of humor, quiet faith, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Contributions can be made in memory of Odie to St. Maron Catholic Church or ALSAC (American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities) for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
