Olivia Dianne Holzheimer

September 20, 1940 — December 31, 2023

OLIVIA DIANNE HOLZHEIMER (nee Adams) age 83, beloved wife for 34 years of Thomas; mother of Daniel (Kristy) MaKieve and Laural Ayala; grandmother of Amanda Hedadji, Mark MaKieve, Josh MaKieve, Tim MaKieve, Kaela Ayala, and Geana (Josh) Johansen and great-grandmother of 4; daughter of the late John and Maxine (nee Gilroy) Adams; sister of the late Mark Adams; sister-in-law of Judith (Tomas deceased) Fricano, Robert (Diane) Holzheimer, David (Linda) Holzheimer, and Martha (Jack) Dempsey; aunt and great-aunt of many.

Dianne was born on September 20, 1940, in Huntington Park, California. On June 23, 1989, she married the love of her life, Tom. Together they shared in many of life’s adventures including living half of the year in Geauga County and the other half in Hermosa Beach, California. She and Tom spent many wonderful years driving across the country exploring both National Parks and special places that were often off the beaten path. Strong in her faith, she was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church, where she established many wonderful friendships. To say she was a talented quilter and baker would be an understatement. For years, Dianne entered her quilts and baked goods in The Great Geauga County Fair and was an award-winning competitor throughout those years. Her quilts were more than award winning, they were expressions of her love for her family. Each quilt gifted to her family was made with an immense amount of devotion. Dianne adored her grandchildren and being their grandma. She had a way of approaching life with great enthusiasm and ensuring the individuals in her life were cared for. On December 31, 2023, with her husband by her side, Dianne passed away.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dianne to the Salvation Army, 2507 East 22nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
