PATRICIA M. AZZARELLO (nee Murphy), aged 88 years, beloved wife for 58 years to the late Franklin J., dearest mother of Brian, Frank (wife Annemarie), James, and Julia Feist (husband Darren), loving grandmother of Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Lucille, and Lynne Azzarello, and Isla-Sophia Feist, devoted daughter of the late John and Julia (nee Rice) Murphy, cherished sister of the late Jack Murphy and Arlene Nuckton, fond sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt.

Our mother loved golfing, reading, travelling and certainly knew her way around the kitchen. (You only needed to taste her red sauce or apple pies to know this.) She worked hard her whole life and taught all of us there is a balance of work, life and play. She loved engaging people in conversation. She’d converse with strangers on a plane and know their life’s story by the time they landed. She made holidays magical and memorable. I can go on and on, but most of all, she was proud to be our mom and beamed with pride. She used to sing to Isla “You Are My Sunshine.” Mom, you will always be our sunshine, shining over us eternally with your unconditional love and devotion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 342 Chillicothe Rd., Aurora, at 11:00 AM. Burial following in Aurora Cemetery.
