Patrick Mccandlish

PATRICK J. McCANDLISH age 74, beloved husband for 43 years of the late Judith (nee Heller); loving father of Jacquelyn Haller (husband Richard), Patrick and Ryan (wife Christine); devoted grandfather of Arabella, Gabriella, Robert and Ryan Jacob; cherished son of the late Joseph and Angelina (nee Biasi); dearest brother of Patricia, Charles, John, Gloria, and the late Joseph and Victoria; dear uncle of many.

Patrick was born on January 27, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away November 29, 2021 at home with family by his side. He moved to Mayfield Heights in 1975 and remained a lifelong resident of the area. Pat was an expert at siding houses and buildings and founded PJM Construction. He eventually became a General Contractor and he and his son worked many projects together. He used to wake up every morning and meet the guys for breakfast and spend the days sitting at Mayland Beverage. Pat was a permanent fixture at the store and would always help customers find what they were looking for, even though he did not work there. Out of everything in life, he enjoyed being a grandpa the most. To his grandchildren he was Papa and he loved them dearly. Pat was a man that would give you his honest opinion regardless if you wanted it or not, but also a loyal friend and person to all he knew. For that he will be dearly missed.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Pat at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Monday, December 6, 2021 from 4-8.
