Paul David Kinczel

November 22, 1967 — February 22, 2025

Highland Heights

PAUL DAVID KINCZEL, age 57, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2025 after an automobile accident; devoted father of Katelyn and Hannah; cherished son of the late Marie (nee Arrigo) and Elmer “Al”; dearest brother of Joseph (Lori), Mary Ann Adams (Dr. Paul), and Marty (Suzi); dear uncle of Alexander, Natasha, Jacob, Lena, and Sarah; loving friend of many; former husband and friend of Katelyn and Hannah’s mom, Kristin (nee Knepper).

Paul lived the last 10+ years in Highland Heights after many years in Lyndhurst and South Euclid. He graduated from Brush High School in 1986 and went on to graduate from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s in communication. Paul was a lifetime member of St. Paschal Baylon Church, where he received all his sacraments. He owned and operated his own business for many years as a Certified Appraiser. His daughters were his life. In their younger years he would always play catch and shoot the basketball around. He coached softball and served as League Commissioner in Highland Heights. Paul was so proud to watch Katelyn play basketball and Hannah thrive in her design program at Kent.

He genuinely enjoyed time with family and friends and Tasty Pizza in Lyndhurst. Paul loved the beach and taking trips to Sanibel Island. Sports was part of his every day. Paul bled Cleveland sports teams and sports talk radio would be playing daily in his car. Unless he was with his girls - then it could be Bon Jovi, Eminem, or the Beatles to name a few. And to which he would sing loud and proud and believe he had a great voice! He loved playing bocce and was part of leagues in Little Italy and Wickliffe. His family and friends will all remember Paul as funny, extroverted, social, hard-working, competitive, and sometimes loud in a good way! He was always positive. Paul could be the life of the party, even with his daughter’s friends, who always loved his visits. He had strong intuition and was always encouraging his daughter to never quit and try their best. Paul will be deeply missed by all those that knew him and spent time in his presence.
