RICHARD A. “MAC” McCORMICK age 76, beloved husband of Kathy E. Jewart McCormick (nee Uncapher); loving father of Korri; devoted grandfather of Nicolas Baraga; cherished son of the late James and Thelma (nee Cunnick); dearest brother of Mary Pishnery; dear uncle of Keith Pishnery (wife Jennifer Wooley), twins Brendan Pishnery (wife Chelsea) and Cameron Pishnery (wife Meghan), Lisa Molder, Shelly DePalma and great-uncle of Mackenzie, Aiden, Morgan, twins Deacon and Grant. Survived by K-9 companion Lilly. U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.

Rich was born on February 26, 1945 in Cleveland and passed away on August 8, 2021. He was a resident of Painesville Township for 33 years, previously Willoughby. Rich belonged to the Western Reserve Historical Society, Sierra Club, and NAMI Geauga. He graduated from Eastlake North in 1963 and was a proud Dock worker at Yellow Freight. Rich was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran. He greatly enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and coin collecting. Rich was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved listening to books on tape. He was generous, caring, a great Papa and devoted to his family and friends. Rich was funny and loved to tease people. He will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Rich to the Lake County Humane Society.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Prayers of Christian Burial Monday with Military Honors, August 16, 2021 at 7:00 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Entombment at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rich at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 5-7 PM.
