RICHARD J. KEREK age 84, beloved husband of Margaret (nee Russell) for 62 years; loving father of Traci Craver (husband Ed), Cheryl Kerek, Lisa Simone (husband Lee), John (wife Gina), and Michael (wife Morane); devoted papa of Taylor Pellegrini (husband Adam), Maddie Kummerl (husband Joe), Austin and Grace Craver, Connor, Tyler, Hannah and Alex Bump, Jolee and Sofie Simone, and Leggatt and Shively Kerek and G-Papa of Laine Pellegrini; cherished son of the late John and Mary (nee Slatkovsky).
Richard was born on April 16, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio. He proudly owned and operated Kerek Industries from 1959-2013, which continues to be run by his son to this day. Dick enjoyed many things in life, like skiing, golfing, and his dogs. Above all things, his family was most important to him. On October 21, 1961. Dick married Margaret and the two were blessed with five children. As an only child, he relished his large family and only grew happier when he was promoted to Papa and recently G-Papa. Dick loved watching his grandchildren grow and attending their school and sporting events. On March 8, 2024, this calm, kind, and loving man passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland, OH 44026, at 10:30 AM.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dick at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4-8 PM.
