Richard A. Nerone

RICHARD ANTHONY NERONE age 67, loving father of Richard, Autumn, Jeniffer (fiancé Nicholas Williams), Leonardo, and Dominic Nerone; devoted grandfather of Silas, Rowan, and Lilah Williams; cherished son of Barbara (nee Dello) and the late Amerigo Nerone; dearest brother of Thomas Nerone (wife Ann), Marianne DeLauro (husband Mario), Linda Reinert (fiancé Michael Griffin), and Carl Nerone (wife Traci); dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many.

Rick was born on December 10, 1957, to parents Amerigo and Barbara in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from St. Joseph High School as part of the class of 1976. Rick continued his education at John Carroll University, where he not only earned his bachelor's degree, but also excelled as a talented football player. Rick became the co-owner and operator of Nerone and Sons Construction, which was founded by his father. He proudly served as the company's Secretary/Treasurer and chief estimator. He was a dedicated and integral part of the company, and he will be sorely missed.

Outside of work, Rick lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed Cleveland sports, golfing, bowling, bocce, spending weekends at his cherished lake home, and caring for his lawn. His adventurous spirit also took him on memorable golf trips to Myrtle Beach and Florida. Rick was known for his outgoing and generous nature. Whether sharing a laugh, offering a helping hand, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Rick was a steady and loyal presence in the lives of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter.

Rick passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 15, 2025.

Rick's wishes were to have a Celebration of Life Service and 'One Last Party' which will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025, with invitations being sent out in the coming months. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rick at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland 12811 Chillicothe Rd. (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Wednesday, June 25, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM.
