ROBERT A. WASHELL age 78, beloved husband for 47 years of Judy (nee Krasicki); loving father of Robert “Bobby” (wife Michelle) and Jenny Schultz (husband Joshua); devoted grandfather of Nick, Hannah, Nathan, Emma, Jakob and step-grandfather of Alec and Leah; cherished son of the late Andrew and Pauline (nee Prementine); dearest brother of John (wife Betty, deceased), Bill (wife Elaine), Janet Havener (husband Paul), and the late Eileen Syktich (husband Sam, deceased), Andrew Jr. (wife Betty, deceased), Tom (wife Liz, deceased) and brother-in-law of Barbara Peters and the late Mike Krasicki (wife Barbara); dear uncle and great-uncle of many and his dog Mack.

Robert was born on October 6, 1945, in Beccaria, Pennsylvania, however he has lived in Ohio most of his life. Previously a resident of Eastlake, Ohio, he and his wife moved to Concord Township, where they called home the last 14 years. A brave and honest man, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His hardworking and determined mindset made his 40-year career as a machinist more than just a job. Bob would build and tinker on just about anything and was always there to assist you when you needed him. This also led him into his collection of cars, specifically Corvettes. Bob was extremely family oriented and loved traveling with his wife, whether it was work related or simply for fun, as well as having family gatherings. He treasured being a grandpa and never missed a sporting event or school concert. On November 26, 2023, Bob passed away leaving his family missing his silly jokes and everlasting love.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 11AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St, Chardon, OH 44024.

Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 3-7 PM.
