Rose L. (Lariccia) Fuduric

ROSE L. (LARICCIA) FUDURIC (nee Perich) age 92, former wife of the late Pete Lariccia; loving mother of Peter Lariccia (wife Nada), Maria Briganti (husband Frank), Rosanne Martin (husband Jim), Theresa Damel (husband Scott) and Linda Mercadante (husband Joe); devoted grandmother of Joseph Mercadante (Dawn Malaney), Andrew Lariccia, Anita Negrelli (husband Mark), Eric Lariccia (wife Claudia), Frank Briganti (Mandy Aldhizer), Dominic Mercadante (wife Ashley), Matthew Martin, Kevin Martin, Natalie Adams (husband Nate) and great-grandmother of Isabel, Eleanor, Amelia, Mateo, Isabella, Francesca, Victoria, and Archer; cherished daughter of the late Dorothy (nee Fuduric) and Mike Perich; dearest sister of Lucille Nolan (husband Jim deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Rose was born on June 10, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio and she became a lifelong resident of the city she loved. It was also where she was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Cleveland was where she graduated from Collinwood High School in 1951.

She was very social and belonged to a crocheting club and to the Slavoj music group. She loved to sew clothes and crochet blankets, hats and scarves. She was a homemaker who was passionate about cooking, baking and decorating cakes. If she wasn’t preparing meals for her family, she was packing lunches for low-income families.

She loved music, dancing and playing her accordion while she sang. Among her favorite music was Frank Yankovic, polka music, Al Green and Frank Sinatra.

Rose was very strict and strong willed when her children were growing up but she became a kind, quiet friendly woman who loved being with her children, grand children and great grandchildren. Her home was a gathering place for the holidays and every Thanksgiving was spent with Grandma and Grandpa.

Rose passed away on January 14, 2026 and will be remembered by her kind heart and loving spirit by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rose to Saint Mary Catholic Church in Collinwood. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10AM at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 15519 Holmes Avenue, Cleveland, Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rose at DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 2026 from 3-7PM
