Sarah Van Antwerp

SARAH VAN ANTWERP (nee Berger) age 85, of Newbury, Ohio died peacefully May 29, 2022. She was born April 7, 1937 in Berea, Ohio, to the late Milton and Lucy (nee Sloan) Berger.

She graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1959 and married John in 1960. Together they created a family, consisting of their two children, Cary McCullen (husband Geoffrey) and Jack.

Sarah proudly worked for over 25 years at several branches of the Cuyahoga County Libraries, where she was known for her themed hats and outfits for every holiday.

She is survived by her husband and children, as well as her grandchildren Meghan Alexander (husband James), Casey, Molly, and Aidan McCullen and siblings, William Berger (wife Jeanine) and Thomas Berger (wife Ann), and nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in memory of Sarah to Cuyahoga Library Foundation.

Celebration of Life Service Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Munn Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Sarah at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  FRIDAY, June 10, 2022, from 3-7 PM.
