SHEILA G. HUBMAN (nee Gaffney) age 84, beloved wife for 61 years of the late James R. ; loving mother of J.R. (wife Mary), Christopher (wife Rebecca), Megan Scherson (husband Arturo, deceased), and Bridgid Fishman (husband Douglas); devoted grandmother of 11; cherished daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (nee McGrath) Gaffney and dearest sister of the late Daniel (wife Patricia, deceased), the late Patrick (wife Anne), the late Timothy (wife Barbara, deceased) and the late Thomas Gaffney.
Sheila was born to her parents Harry and Elizabeth on December 5, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in Euclid, Ohio and was a member of Holy Cross Church. She graduated from Regina High School in the class of 1958 before continuing her education at Ursuline College. She met the love of her life, James, and they married on September 9, 1961, and resided in Villanova, PA while Jim attended Villanova University. They decided to start a family together and have 4 children. Sheila was dedicated to her family and was equally dedicated to her Faith. She was a member of the Gesu women's guild and liturgy committee. She also belonged to the Christ Child Society and the Carmelite Guild. She could often be found volunteering at Walsh Jesuit High School and Beaumont School, tending to her garden, and listening to Irish Music. Sheila also was an avid sewer. She was also a generous woman who loved to give and was known as sociable and a friendly member of her church community. She was a determined woman with a strong will and great sense of humor who was always willing to help all those she possibly could. Sheila returned home to Heaven on June 9, 2025, and will be dearly missed by all those who had the distinct honor of knowing her.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Sheila at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) MONDAY 4-7 PM.
