Stana Marie Grill

STANA MARIE GRILL (nee Mrsnik) age 93, beloved wife for 40 years of the late Valentine Frank; loving mother of Sharon O’Brien (Danny), Connie Moze (Bruce), and Cindy Flaherty (Bob); devoted grandmother of Lisa (Jeff), Scott (Paula), Sarah (Phil), Jason, Kathleen, Jimmy, and Mary and great-grandmother of Morgan, Jeffrey, Cecelia, Adhu, Charlie, Logan, and Lylah.

Stana was born in Euclid on June 4, 1928 and passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021.  She was a long-time resident of Wickliffe for 63 years.  Stana graduated from Euclid Central High School and worked a long career in the Admitting Department at Richmond Heights General Hospital, retiring from there in 1990.  Stana was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and proud member of the Homemaker’s Club, Slovenian Women’s Union of America (SWUA) as the auditor for Branch 14, Slovenian Pensioners of Euclid, Holmes Avenue Pensioner, and KSKJ.  She was given the title of “1995 Mother of the Year for SWUA Branch 14”.  In her spare time, Stana liked to bowl, go to casinos, take bus trips, take care of her beautiful orchids, and crocheted. She enjoyed listening to polka music.  The most enjoyment in her life came from her family and any time being together for birthdays and holidays.  Stana’s family describes her as being very organized, and always having an amazing memory.  She left a lasting impression on everyone, and was loved by all who spent time with her.  She also enjoyed being around people, and she will be missed by many.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 8, 2021 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 29840 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Stana at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4 – 8 PM.
