Thelma M. Schenovitch

THELMA M. SCHENOVITCH (nee Bender) age 91, of Richmond Heights, entered into eternal life Jan. 6, 2013. Beloved wife for 52 years of John. Loving mother of Sandra J. Matheny (deceased) (husband Donald K. Sr.), Gary M. and Brian F. Yost (wife Janice M.). Devoted grandmother of Kevin B. and Kenn B. Yost (wife Jennifer), Donald K. Matheny, Jr. and great grandmother of Hannah N. and Justin D. Yost. Dearest daughter of the late Neil B. and Retha M. (nee Hamlin) Bender. Dear sister of F. Dale Bender (deceased) (wife Karen) and the late Genevieve B. Hoye (husband Frank), Eugene F. Bender (wife Nora), and Wilma G. McCulloch (husband Patrick H.).

Thelma was the first woman manager for the Howard Johnson Restaurants in the 1950’s. She was also a production worker for General Electric Company.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Thelma’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association 23215 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 300 Beachwood, Ohio 44122.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Tribute Service Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34201 Eddy Road Willoughby Hills, at 1 PM. Burial following at Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Thelma at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-5 PM.
