Theodore L. “Ted” Bell, Jr.

THEODORE L. “TED” BELL, JR. age 88, beloved husband for 38 years of the late Carol Louise (nee Klenoshek); loving father of Ted (wife Brigit) and Bob (wife Cathy); devoted grandfather of Macie, Hayden, Garrett, Kylie, Tyler, and Benjamin; cherished son of the late Theodore and Dorothy (nee Moon); dearest brother of Art (wife Rose, deceased) (Rose Ann) and the late Donna Malik (husband Chuck, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Theodore L. “Ted” Bell, Jr. was born on January 10, 1935, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to the late Theodore and Dorothy (nee Moon).  Ted grew up in Greensburg, where he attended Greensburg High School and graduated in 1952. He then continued his education at St. Vincent College, in Pennsylvania, before moving to the Cleveland area to become a math teacher at John Adam’s High School. He later became a Math teacher at Brush High School in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst school district from 1961 – 1988.

He lived both in South Euclid and Lyndhurst, where he resided the last 8 years. A proud parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Gregory of the Great Catholic Church. There he was a Lecture and volunteered in their annual festival. Ted enjoyed serving as a wrestling referee in the Cleveland area, and was an avid reader and Indians/ Guardians and Browns fan.

His hobbies included being an under hand fast pitch softball pitcher in Cleveland Heights, walking, fishing, and camping. He was a handy and could fix just about anything. On February 6, 2023, this social, intelligent, friendly, hard-working, giving and man with great sense of humor passed away. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone that loved him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ted to Catholic Charities.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 13, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 1545 S. Green Road, South Euclid, Ohio 44121 at 11 AM.

Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery.
