THOMAS E. BAN, aged 86 years, beloved husband for 59 years to Shirley (nee Holmgren), dear father of Kristen Drake (husband Bob), Gretchen Krivanek and John Karl Ban (wife Leah), loving grandfather of Gretchen and Britt Tepper, Christina, Amy, Michelle and Michael Krivanek, Sarah Lee and Laura Ban, great-grandfather of Isaac, Marty and Erika, cherished brother of Pauline Baumgartner, Donna Kopish, Helen Navid, Betty Ban and the late Anita Kirsch, Roslyn Bell, John and Joseph Ban, fond uncle and great-uncle to many. The family of Thomas Ban wishes to express special thanks to care-giver Brenda Church (now a member of the family) and to The Cleveland Clinic At-Home and Shaker Heights Public Library for unquestioned and ever changing work hours to care for dad, but most especially for their concern and emotional support during his illness.

Please meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9:30 AM. Burial following in Lake View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Tom at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 4-7 PM.
