THOMAS OWEN MILLER age 86, beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Geraci); loving father of Michael, Sue Brichacek, TJ “Tom” (wife Linda Wang), and Karen Alberson (husband Don); devoted grandfather of Melissa Brichacek, Joe Brichacek (wife Jessica), Nickey Zafris (husband Brad), James (wife Annemarie), and Zach, Hannah and Sarah Alberson, and great-grandfather of 6; cherished son of the late Clement and Dorothy (nee Recker); dearest brother of  Leonard (wife Jan, deceased), Joseph (wife Barbara), and the late Ronald (wife Rita, deceased); well-loved uncle and friend  of many, especially Patty Roddy.

Thomas was born January 1, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in the Westside of Cleveland he graduated from St. Benedictine High School in 1954 and has remained a resident of the South Euclid area since 1960. Strong in his faith, Tom was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. There he served as an usher, Eucharistic Minster, and sat on the finance council. He devoted over 60 years as a traffic engineer for the City of Shaker Heights, the City of South Euclid, and Traffic Control Products. He was very active in the IMSA Organization, as well as the Knights of Columbus Post 15023 of South Euclid. Tom also enjoyed collecting coin operated machinery, especially his extensive collection of gumball machines. He was extremely generous and loved time spent with his family. His non-judgmental and humble demeanor allowed him the opportunity to meet many friends. On December 15, 2022, this dear man with a great sense of humor passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Tom to Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 11 AM.

Burial following at All Saints Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tom at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 9–10:30 AM.
