TIMOTHY G. BYRNE, SR. age 65, beloved husband for 45 years of Donna (nee Poulos); loving father of Christopher (wife Sandy), Laura Gairing (husband Jon) and Timothy G. Jr. (wife Julie); devoted grandfather of Lance, Korey, Avery, Josh, Jessica, Luke, Cody and Tyler; cherished son of the late Bernard Sr. and Claire (nee O’Connor); dearest brother of Mary Kay Gleba (husband Larry, deceased), Maureen Vrban (husband Mike), Margaret, Paul, Bernard Jr. “Jaime” (wife Andrea); dear uncle and great-uncle and friend of many.

Timothy was born on October 18, 1956, in Cleveland and passed away on August 11, 2022. He was a resident of Chesterland but had formerly resided in Highland Heights for 18 years and Mayfield Heights for 45 years. Timothy was a graduate of Mayfield High School in 1976. Timothy was a member of St. Paschal Church in Highland Heights for 17 years.

Timothy worked in the construction field and was a member of the Building Laborers’ Local 310 union but loved to spend his weekends camping. He was a big Cleveland sports fan and devoted a lot of his time to coaching youth baseball and softball which gave him great joy. He was a Boy Scout Troop leader and President of the Band Boosters for 3 years.

Timothy loved spending time with his family especially during the holidays. His family describes him as being hard working, loving, friendly and say he had a great sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Timothy to Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village 15463 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Prayers of Christian Burial Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 5:30 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Timothy at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 2:00-5:30 PM.
