Dear Esther,
Pepe and I are with you in thought and prayer during this very sad time as you took care of Pauline and carried out her wishes. How I’m going to miss her notes and being able to phone her to catch up on the news! And we know that you will feel her absence most of all. I’m sure that she and Lou and Aunt Martha are playing 65. Pauline was a very good friend to us and friends are never forgotten.
Take care, Esther.
Love,
Pepe and Kathy

Pauline and I worked together in the General Sales Dept. of Republic Steel. She was a very good friend–thoughtful, warm, caring are words that apply to her. She was pleasant to be around and had a nice smile for everyone she would meet. It was an honor and a privilege to know her. She will be in my thoughts and prayers for a very long time to come. My Deepest Sympathy to Esther and her family, and all Pauline’s many friends. Sincerely, Mary Ann (Pelc) Lucas

Dearest Sweet Pauline:
You were the light of so many lives in the Smith Family. I will most especially miss you for your kindness, your generosity, your wonderful sense of humor and for making memories for me when I was not only a young girl, but as an older friend. You will be greatly missed and remain in our daily prayers.Give Nitsche and Joe Joe a big hug and kiss from me:).

My sympathy goes out to the family of Pauline. She was such a wonderful and kind person – she will be missed. I also wanted to send my condolences to her dear friend Esther Cunzolo – What a good and dear friend you have been to Pauline. She was so blessed to have such a wonderful friend in her life. Not many people can say they’ve had a friend of 65 years! I know you will miss her, but pray you take comfort in knowing she is at peace. I grew up in a small town in northwestern PA where Pauline’s parents were our neighbors. Pauline would bring her dear friend Esther along for long weekend trips when she visited her parents. Thus began a lifelong friendship that continues today. What wonderful childhood memories I have of Pauline and her parents and they will always and forever be in my heart. Some people never have the type of relationship or memories that Joe-Joe, Agnes, and Pauline gave our family – there are no words to describe the bond we had. We were so blessed. I am so happy that some of my siblings and I had the chance to visit Pauline a few weeks ago, and tell her what an impact she and her parents had on our lives. So this is not goodbye, because I know we will all be together again someday. Until then, rest easy and get the garden ready for us! Lots of love -Paula xo
