
Piotr “Pete” Szlamas age 65, beloved husband for 36 years of Brenda (nee Sementa); loving father of Lauren (husband Michael), Alyson, and Piotr (wife Stephanie); devoted grandfather of Aaron, Aislin, and Donovan; cherished son of the late Leonard and Halina (nee Sawicka).
Pete was born on February 11, 1957, in Cleveland and passed away on May 20, 2022. He lived in Chesterland for 37 years and worked as a truck driver since the mid-nineties. Pete had a lifelong passion for cars and was proud to be a part of the Spirit of Cleveland Race Team. He was a proud member of the Polish Veterans’ Alliance Post #1 which was established by his father. He wasn’t afraid to take on any project and learn new things. He was a warm, open-minded, unfailingly generous person who loved people, and lived for his family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Pete to a charity of your choice.
Visiting hours Saturday May 28, 2022, from 2-4 pm, at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND. Service to follow promptly at 4 pm.
