
REGINA HELENE YERAK
Longtime Willoughby Hills, Ohio, resident Regina, 90, died on December 29, 2020, due to complications from the novel coronavirus.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Anton Yerak, her mother, Jane, her sole sibling, William, who died in the Battle of the Bulge, and her infant daughter Nina.
Survivors include her five children, Yvonne (Jack), Renee (John), William, Rebecca, Kurt (Marni), and two grandsons, Kent and Kurt.
Ray and Regina lived in the Cleveland suburb of Willoughby Hills for almost 60 years. She most recently lived in Westerville, Ohio at Parkside Village Assisted Living. Her family greatly appreciated the love and care given to their mother.
Regina, also known as Reggie or Reg, was a woman of many interests and talents. She and Ray enjoyed attending his WWII reunions, ballroom dancing, bowling and playing pinochle. She loved sports and was a faithful fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. The family traveled frequently, often by train. One of the more memorable trips was to Mexico City. In 2004, Regina and her three daughters traveled to Slovenia, which was her ancestral home. She took delight in shopping for and reselling secondhand hand treasures, watching TV, reading, listening to music, caring for animals, especially cats, and collecting dolls. She excelled in doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, gardening, sewing and making arts and crafts. Regina was a member of St. Noel Catholic Church.

A PRIVATE Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094.
Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, where she will share a grave site with her beloved Ray.
