
RICHARD W. ROSE age 66, beloved father of Ryan (wife Emily) and Kasey (Evan Russo); cherished son of Patricia (nee Gunn) and the late Daniel; dearest brother of Patti, Timothy (wife Terry) and Geoffrey (wife Greta); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Richard was born on August 31, 1956 and passed away on April 16, 2023. He grew up in South Euclid and raised his family in Chagrin Falls. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1974 and graduated from John Carroll University with his Bachelor’s degree. Richard was a stellar baseball player spending time as a catcher and a short stop. He played AAA ball. He loved to golf, bowl, watch movies and was an avid reader. He was also a huge Cleveland sports fan especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He loved Classic Rock, 80’s music, and was a friend of Bill W. for 29 years. Richard’s family and friends will always remember him for being full of energy, having a great sense of humor, being a hard worker and being devoted to his family.

Prayers of Christian Burial Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2PM at the Funeral Home. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Richard at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) Saturday 11-2PM.
