Robert was born on December 1, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he grew up and graduated from East High School in January,1959. Robert joined the Army, then went on to attend Fenn College and CSU where he earned a bachelor’s degree taking classes during nights over 11 years, working days at Ryerson Steel. That hard work paid off when he became a CPA and Partner later specializing in not-for-profit clients’ accounts.
In 1970, he moved to Cleveland Heights. Robert was a Boy Scout leader. He loved nature and taking walks. Robert swam 1 mile every day during the summer at Cumberland Pool and always kept busy with yard work or some home project. He collected cement pigs, gargoyles and maintained a fairy garden in his yard that was a favorite stop for young children on walks with their parents. He had a great sense of humor and was loving and devoted to his family, however everyone knew to stay out of the way when the Browns were losing. Robert passed away on October 17, 2023. He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor and pleasure of knowing and loving him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank at www.greaterclevelandfoodbank.org/give-help or School House Symphony at www.schoolhousesymphony.org.
