Ronald C. “Ron” Miscko, age 79, died Christmas Day December 25, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ron was born in East Cleveland to the late Edward & Ruth Miscko. He is survived by Carolyn Miscko his loving wife of 55 years. Father of Christine (Anthony) Pucell, Steve (Stacey) Miscko, Brother Gregory (Sandra) Miscko, Edward Miscko Jr (Deceased), A Stepsister Sally Demaria, Sister-in-Law Sharon (Harvey Stone) Cadiou, Grandfather of Madeline and Olivia. Best Friend.
Ron was a man of many interests which included keeping in touch with His friends from Shaw High School, East Cleveland History, visiting historical sites wherever he traveled and his Entrepreneurship endeavors. Ron started and owned Arrow Express which transported items for Union Commerce Bank. He owned a Tavern in Cleveland, renovated homes in Cleveland and Euclid and owned a home maintenance business. Ron was actively involved in Shaw High School Class reunions and lunch gatherings. He also raised animals on his property when he lived in Chesterland.
Ron was excellent company in any situation. He was kind and respectful to all the people he knew. Ron was all about helping people by driving them to do shopping or to medical visits. Ron taught us not by words but by his actions. Although he suffered medical problems, he never complained. Ron was an active member of St. Christopher’s By-the-River in Gates Mills and assisted in their fund raisers.
His strength to live was inspiring. His compassion and concern for those around him never wavered, even during his lengthy illness. He loved his family and the people that surrounded him.

Ron was a good father-in-law to our son, and a loving grandfather. He was always pleasant to be around and we enjoyed his company. He never complained about his problems or had a bad thing to say about anyone. May our Lord welcome him home to heaven, and may all who grieve his loss find strength knowing Ron is at peace and know that God will be with you.

Ron was a man of rare wit and intelligence. We were blessed to have known him as a neighbor and friend, if only for a short while. He was always available to sit and talk or just listen. The impromptu summer deck gatherings and “guys meetings” were a special bonding event. He will be missed.
