I was deeply saddened to hear of my cousin Ron’s passing and have a heavy heart. I have lots of memories of “Ronnie and Dennis,” my beloved cousins, from when I was growing up. I so appreciated lunches with Ron when I traveled to the Cleveland area every few years from my home in Denver. Ron was there for my family when each of my parents died. He was a very caring person who was intelligent and thoughtful. We always had plenty to talk about. His presence will be missed.

Mr. Knaus was my 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Wiley Middle School in 1984. I have memories of his kind but stern approach to teaching. I haven’t seen him since my adolescence but I would like to believe that he had something to do with the fact that I am a 15-year veteran English teacher in 2014.
Rest in peace Mr. Knaus. If you were never thanked for your efforts from a student, let this be a deep gesture of gratitude.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Knaus. He was one of our favorite teachers and he greatly impacted our lives. We have great memories of his classes and the books that he taught us to enjoy. Unfortunately, we compare our children’s teachers to him and they never live up to the standards that he set. I tried to locate him in the past to express my gratitude, but I was never able to find him. It’s amazing that a teacher could have such a lasting impression on students so many years down the road. We offer our sincere condolences to the family. Rest in peace Mr Knaus.
