Condolences for the family of “Rudolph Weschke”

Condolence from Mary and Don Lee and family on February 14th, 2021 7:51 am

Our sympathy Heidi! I wish we would have known! I am a niece of Uncle John & Aunt Ann. We always stayed in touch with Rudy long after Martha died. Twice a year we visit and clean off her headstone. We always looked forward to his Christmas cards telling of his activities, and went to St Noel’s fish fries to visit with him. He was so kind and such a good person. We’ll miss him! Always think of him as the excellent caretaker of Uncle John’s house, built by my Dad and Uncle John.

Rudy will be sorely missed. He was a wonderful, gentle and compassion man and we all feel blest that we were fortunate to have him be a special part of our lives. His caring nature and sense of humor will be missed by so many but he will finally be with his Martha in heaven. rest in peace Rudy.

Condolence from Margaret R Dempsey on February 15th, 2021 3:21 pm

Dear Heidi – I was so sad to read of the death of Rudy. I remember meeting you at Martha’s funeral. Over the years I have always received cards for Christmas, Valentine, Easter, Mother’s Day and my birthday and always wrote about all his activities. When I would talk to him on the phone he would tell me about how much he enjoyed his flower garden, his singing in the choir at St. Noel and at nursing homes, his bus trips, where he had hiked, his serving meals at St. Augustine and years ago his going to see your Dad and Mom in Parma and you in Columbus. He would always ask how my sisters Mary and Ann and brother Berny were and how my daughters were – all have fond memories of him – his smile and twinkle in his eyes. So this Spring when my sister and I do our semi-annual cleaning of the graves at the cemetery and say prayers for our parents, our Uncle John and Aunt Ann, our Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary (who lived next door) and Martha , we will certainly be saying a prayer for your Uncle Rudy. Am grateful to have had him as my friend. Love, Margie

Condolence from Jerome & Karen Franks on March 28th, 2021 7:05 pm

Dear Heidi – Rudy was very very dear to me & to my husband Jerome. I sang in the choir with Rudy for many years – actual in multiple choirs. He was always the sweetest. I have a card for you but do not have your address. The postmark went across the address on the lovely note you sent me. Please send it to me. We loved your Uncle so much & miss him so much!!! With our deepest sympathy, love, prayers, & support.
