Our family is sad to share that Scott Allen Mervis passed away 1/4/2023 at age 50. Scott was born 7/22/1972 in Dallas, Texas and moved with his parents to Solon, OH in 1979. He graduated from Solon High School in 1990 and from Edinboro University at Pennsylvania in 1997. He played trombone in the band at both schools. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed Nascar, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Cleveland Browns, Monsters and Indians/Guardians.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elaine (nee Wiltshire) Mervis and resided the last 10 years in Orwell, OH at Eagle Pointe Skilled Nursing facility. Left to cherish Scott’s memory are his uncle, Ken Wiltshire of Palm Bay, FL; aunt Judi Smego of Jefferson, OH; cousins Doug Wiltshire of Harvest, AL; Loree Mara and Dawn Rudelt of Virginia Beach, VA and many extended family and friends. Scott was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by many.
Services will be private. Burial will be private at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, OH. Family and friends wishing to make a charitable donation in Scott’s honor might consider an Autism oriented group of their choosing. Our family would like to thank the staff at Eagle Pointe for taking excellent care of Scott for many years.
Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
