
STELLA N ALAIMO (nee Alacqua) age 93, beloved wife of the late Louis; loving mother of Joanne Schumer (husband James), Georgette Lengyel (husband Dennis), Sandra Ruffner (husband Melvin), and Sherrie Irwin (husband Randy); devoted grandmother of Nicole Johnson (husband Joseph), Melissa and Christie Ruffner; dearest sister of Angela Volpe (husband Anthony “Red” deceased), and the late Sam Alacqua (wife Patricia), Connie Yurkovich (husband Mitch deceased), and Carlo Alacqua (wife Joyce); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Stella was born on November 21, 1924 in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania and passed away on October 22, 2018. She was a resident of Richmond Heights since 1966, previously Cleveland Heights and a parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon. Stella was a homemaker and proudly worked as cashier at Woolworth at Richmond Mall. She loved watching the Cleveland Indians and movies in her free time. Stella also greatly enjoyed listening to music by Frank Sinatra. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing the slot machines. Stella also loved to take bus trips. She was a wonderful, loving, and very social person. She was friendly, outgoing, loved people, and was a peacemaker. She will be dearly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Entombment following at Knollwood Cemetery.
