TAMRA JEAN HENDERSHOT (nee Austin) age 63, loving mother of Brian and Jackie Hendershot (Father: Chris Hendershot); cherished daughter of the late Ted and Ruth (nee Soltis) Austin; dearest sister of the late Teddy and Craig (wife Lori) Austin and aunt of Matthew Austin.
Tamra was born on January 8, 1960, and called Wickliffe and Richmond Heights her home. First and foremost Tamra was a loving mother and friend to all she met. She proudly worked as an Ultrasound Technician and made many work friends throughout her career. Tamra’s love language was cooking and she always made sure there was enough food, and then some, for her children and their friends to enjoy. To say she was generous and kind would be an understatement. You truly felt welcome and loved by her, whether she was sending you home with food or listening to your troubles with you. Tamra was also known for her love of sports including baseball and football, with her favorite team being The Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed taking walks in nature, going to amusement parks with her kids, and relaxing at home with her cat Ginger. On September 8, 2023, Tamra passed away leaving a legacy of love and kindness to all.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11AM at Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
