Tom and I had a great working relationship. I’m a regular customer at Detroit Auto and every single time Tom took great care of me, even when I ordered the wrong part. He always referred to me as Kevin and the Boy,( being a single dad and always having my son ) Tom always greet us both. Tom will truly be missed. Prayers goes out to his family and friends

To Tommy’s family, while we have not been properly introduced, I have been Tom’s co-worker over the past three month’s. He had always helped me when he knew I was clueless. He had a unique way of conveying his brand of humor ! He would speak to me , very deadpan or British, make you think , walk away, and then I would start laughing ! While many people enter and exit our lives, some quicker than others, Tommy is one man I will never forget and cherish the opportunity to have met, worked with, and shared some off-time with. Thank You ! Gene King and Pamela Rife .

My deepest condolences for your loss. Tom was a very good friend whom I met at his place of employment and always stopped in to check on him and have a few laughs like only Tom does. My heart is destroyed right now because I just spoke with him and laughed earlier on Saturday and as always he said see you later bud! I’m going to miss that guy and I will keep you all in my prayers! May god be with you during this time.

I was so saddened to hear the news about Tom/your dad. There are no words.
I am keeping you all close in thought and prayer.
Chris if there is ever anything I can do or if you just need a friend to talk to, I am just a phone call away.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4 NIV

To Toms family and friends,
So sorry for your loss .
I knew Tom from Detroit Auto . We hit it off from the moment I stepped in the store and ordered some parts for a vintage Pontiac.
We shared many stories amd photos of cars.
Tom was real friendly and helpful and I mever asked for anyone else when I needed something.
Wish I knew him longer as I believe we would have had a great friendship.
Stay strong!!’

Chris,

My husband sent me to Detroit Auto parts today to pick up a part for him,
I don’t know much about car parts so I feel a little uncomfortable going alone…I was praying that Tom would wait on me. It was then I found out he passed away..
Strange how a guy at a auto parts store could have such a impact on your life that your feeling sad
He was so funny and so nice…I am sure many customers miss him..
Sending my condolence to his wife and children

If anyone comes back to this site to reread, I just wanted to say thank you. It’s been almost a year since I lost the love of my life, my kids lost the best father they could have ever had, and our hearts are still broken. So many special days in our lives have passed by without Tom to share them with. I know he’s always around us. Yet, his beautiful body is gone. It helps to know how many lives he touched in such a loving way. He is truly the best SOUL I have ever met. I’m so blessed to have been his wife. He is my soulmate.
